We sat down with NorthSky's very own customer service expert Jasmine Garcia to discuss career goals, company culture and customer experience—plus SNL’s latest sensation.

What’s been the most meaningful milestone so far at NorthSky?

The biggest accomplishment has to be seeing this company we’ve all dedicated countless hours to finally go live. Opening our digital doors for customers to experience something we know they’re going to appreciate... that’s been huge.

How do you describe what you do to your family and friends?

I’m the one on the other end of the line, rescuing customers from the perils of frustration and uncertainty. I’m like the “Customer Whisperer,” turning confusion into clarity and making sure every interaction leaves our customers smiling.

Best part of the workday?

That would be our daily standup with our head of sales and the entire customer service and sales team. We catch each other up on our goals and accomplishments for the day, but it somehow always turns into banter and laughs, too.

What’s a memorable piece of advice you’ve received?

Never dim your shine to fit in—the world can always use more light. This was from a wonderful teacher I had who inspired me in more ways than one.

What advice do you like to give to your team?

You are only limited by yourself. No one can hold you back from being great!

Favorite pop culture moment from 2024?

“Came all this way, had to explain, direct from Domingo...” Need I say more?

What are your goals for 2025?

I want to grow our team and hit our KPIs and build and maintain high customer satisfaction. I’m looking forward to automating our processes and continuing to expand our tech-forward vision.

Driven, adaptable and collaborative

What’s something that motivates you?

Coming from an immigrant family can be challenging when you see the struggles that your family faces. They’ve shown me that perseverance and hope can get you far, not just in your career but when it comes to overcoming any obstacle.

Cats or dogs?

Dogs, for sure! I have a 125-pound golden retriever who thinks he’s a lap dog.

Beach or mountains?

I’ll always take a piña colada on a sandy beach.

Do you have a favorite NorthSky product yet?

My husband is especially fond of the 7-inch jaw locking pliers. He uses them for just about anything, but mostly for his fishing lures.

What’s something unique or special about working for NorthSky?

It’s rare to find a company where you can feel that everyone’s dedication and drive are aligned. I think this trickles down from our CEO, Brad Hanson, always encouraging us to have a voice and to call things out that we want to improve or praise. He sets the tone for our amazing culture, and our leadership team follows that tone and embraces that mentality.
